Frankly speaking, I was surprised to know that there was a big list of countries which had prostitution as a legal job! Even Iran has "temporary wives" which can be for only a few hours!
Many European counties agreed that prostitution was not a crime but job! Though a rather unusual job as for me.
So, here we have the list of countries which did not find any crime in prostitution and made it to be legal:
- Canada
- England
- France
- Denmark
- Mexico
- Brazil
- Israel
- Australia
Certainly, this list is not full, many European countries can be called there. New Zealand passed in 2003 one of the most comprehensive decriminalization acts which even made street hookers legal which is causing many concerns.
The USA do not accept prostitution yet. How do you think: why? This county always was told to be a “free” one: the freedom of word, the freedom of press… Certainly, they have a lot of stupid laws in every state! Well, the US are based our puritanical forcing a certain religious view. Maybe that is the reason? Is not it is a legal women’s choice as well as a women’s right to choose of abortion?
People, is it really needed to legalize the prostitution? Where are you from? Is it legalized in your country? If no, would you like it to be legal then?

i am not sure if we need it. it would be a good income of taxes of course. but if to speak about moral aspects... it is a rather difficult question.
ReplyDeleteif we can not avoid and prohibit it maybe we should legalize it? at least we'll have some more taxes...
ReplyDeleteI think that we have to legalize prostitution. It will help us to avoid black market and diseases.
ReplyDeletei doubt about the black market, but according the deseases - yeah, true
